Docs / Transica connector

Transica connector

Use Transica from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to check how ready a website or an MCP server is for AI assistants.

The connector has two tools. Both only read public pages and servers. They change nothing on any site, need no account and never ask for passwords or personal data.

ToolWhat it does
scan_webpage_ai_readinessScans one public web page and gives it an AI readiness score out of 100, with the checks that passed and failed and the top fixes.
check_mcp_server_directory_rulesChecks a public MCP server against the ChatGPT and Claude directory requirements, check by check.

Connect to Claude

Transica isn’t in the Claude directory yet, so you add it yourself as a custom connector. You need this server URL:

https://transica-mcp.transica.dev/mcp
  1. In Claude, go to Customize and open Connectors.
  2. Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter the name Transica and paste the server URL. Select Continue.
  4. Under Authentication, choose No sign in, then select Add.
  5. In a chat, select +, open Connectors and turn on Transica. Then ask, for example: “Scan https://example.com for AI agent readiness.”
Pro and Max users can add it themselves; on the Free plan it counts as your one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it in Organization settings, Connectors.

Connect to ChatGPT

Transica isn’t in the ChatGPT app directory yet. ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces can add it as a custom MCP server on ChatGPT on the web. On Business, only admins and owners can do this.

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Plugins.
  2. Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Enter the name Transica. Under Connection, paste the server URL. For authentication, choose none: Transica needs no sign-in.
  4. Read the risk warning, tick I understand and want to continue, then select Create as a plugin.
  5. In a new chat, type @ and pick Transica.

Other MCP clients

Transica is a remote MCP server using the Streamable HTTP transport. Add it to any client that supports remote servers. In Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http transica https://transica-mcp.transica.dev/mcp

Scan a web page

scan_webpage_ai_readiness reads one public page the way an AI tool would and scores it.

Input

NameTypeDescription
urlstring, requiredThe public page to scan, for example https://example.com or example.com/pricing.

What you get back

  • A score out of 100.
  • The checks that passed and failed, grouped by category: crawler access, content without JavaScript, headings, structured data, links, form labels and more.
  • The most important fixes, in order.
  • A link to the full report. The report is kept for 7 days.

Most scans finish in a few seconds. If a scan takes longer than about 12 seconds, you get the status running and the report link. Open the link to see the result when it is ready.

Example

Is https://example.com ready for AI agents? What should I fix first?

Check an MCP server

check_mcp_server_directory_rules connects to a public remote MCP server, reads its tool list and checks it against the published ChatGPT and Claude directory requirements. It never calls the server’s tools.

Input

NameTypeDescription
urlstring, requiredThe server’s address, for example https://mcp.example.com/mcp.

What you get back

  • The server’s name, version and number of tools.
  • A result for each check: pass, warn, fail or info. Checks cover the connection, sign-in, domain and each tool.
  • Counts for each directory, and a link to the full report with what was seen and how to fix it.
Passing these checks doesn’t guarantee a listing. ChatGPT and Claude review every submission themselves.

Limits

  • Each scan or check reads one page or one server.
  • Transica runs up to 5,000 scans and 5,000 checks a day through the connector, for all users together. When the limit is reached, try again after midnight UTC.
  • Only public addresses work. Private networks, localhost and addresses that need a sign-in are refused.

Privacy and data

Transica stores the address you scan, and the report, for 7 days. MCP server checks aren’t stored. Transica doesn’t get your chat, and it never asks for passwords or personal data. Read the full privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat to do
“Enter a complete public website URL.” or “Enter a publicly reachable domain.”Use a page that anyone can open without signing in, on the public internet.
“The scan couldn’t read that page.”The page didn’t load for us, or the site’s robots rules or a bot challenge stopped the scan. Transica doesn’t get around these. Allow AI crawlers on that page, or scan a different page.
Status runningThe page is slow. Open the report link in the reply after a minute.
“Enter the server’s full address, starting with https://.”Check that the MCP address is right, uses HTTPS and answers from the public internet.
“Daily scan limit reached.” or “Daily check limit reached.”Try again after midnight UTC.
Claude or ChatGPT doesn’t use TransicaMake sure the connector is turned on for the chat, then name it in your request: “Use Transica to scan …”.
