There's no official ChatGPT app for Magento shoppers. A search of ChatGPT's plugin directory for "Magento" on 4 November 2026 returned three plugins, all for store staff or developers, and Claude's directory returned none. Magento modules put a store's catalog and cart in front of AI agents, and product feeds put its products in ChatGPT's shopping results. For shoppers to sign in and ask about their own orders, a store needs its own app with an OAuth 2.1 server in front of Magento, which Magento doesn't ship.

Can Magento shoppers check their orders in ChatGPT?
Only through an app of the store that signs them in. Magento's GraphQL customer query returns the signed-in customer's order history with a customer token (Adobe). The REST order endpoints, such as GET /V1/orders, need an admin or integration permission, and core Magento has no "my orders" REST route (Magento source). Guests can look up one order with the order number, email and last name through guestOrder (Adobe).
Does Magento support sign-in for ChatGPT?
Not out of the box. ChatGPT signs people in with OAuth 2.1, the authorization code flow and PKCE S256, and Magento offers none of that for shoppers:
- Customer tokens come from posting the customer's email and password, by REST (
POST /V1/integration/customer/token) or GraphQL (generateCustomerToken), and last 1 hour by default (Adobe). ChatGPT never takes a shopper's password. - Magento's OAuth is OAuth 1.0a for integrations a merchant creates in Admin, not for shoppers (Adobe).
- Admin tokens need two-factor authentication and are for staff.
A store that wants signed-in tools needs one of these:
- An OAuth server module. miniOrange's Magento OAuth/OpenID Connect Server makes Magento an OAuth 2.0 provider, from $450 a year for up to 100 users (miniOrange). Its page doesn't mention PKCE, so check that before relying on it.
- An authorization server in front of the store that signs shoppers in with their Magento account and holds the token Magento's API accepts.
Either way, the API behind the app must return only the signed-in shopper's data. Provider details: MCP server authentication.
What public tools can a Magento app have?
Product search, prices, stock and categories. Magento's GraphQL products query returns prices and stock status (Adobe). REST catalog endpoints such as /V1/products are closed to anonymous callers by default, behind Allow Anonymous Guest Access in the admin (Adobe). Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service uses Catalog Service instead of the products query. ChatGPT lets a plugin mix public tools with signed-in ones.
Product feed vs a store's own app
A product feed puts products in ChatGPT's shopping results, next to other merchants'. OpenAI's commerce docs say feed onboarding is open to approved partners, who apply at chatgpt.com/merchants (OpenAI). A store's own app is a listing of that store in ChatGPT's plugin directory, answering from the store's API, including a signed-in shopper's orders. A store can have both.
Review for a store's app asks for a demo account without MFA, five test cases that should work, three that shouldn't, a video and a privacy policy: ChatGPT's plugin directory. The same server can go to Claude's Connectors Directory.
How Transica does it
- Tools. Transica builds tools from the store's API spec or from AI agents that explore the site, and the owner approves them.
- Public tools. Only read tools, no credentials sent, and calls only to the store's own origin.
- Signed-in tools. Transica is the app's OAuth 2.1 server for ChatGPT and Claude. A shopper sees a consent screen, then signs in at the store's own provider, and the AI app never holds the store's token.
- Listings. Transica checks tools against both directories' rules, runs the review's test prompts as the demo account and prepares both submissions. The store submits, and OpenAI and Anthropic decide.
- Address. A transica.dev address, or the store's own domain on the Business plan and up.
Limits. No Magento store has been tested end to end with Transica yet. Signing shoppers in needs an OAuth provider for the store, such as a module or an identity provider it already uses.
Common questions
Is there an official ChatGPT app for Magento?
No. Adobe's Commerce MCP is marked coming soon and aimed at developers. ChatGPT's plugin directory listed no Magento app for shoppers on 4 November 2026.
Can shoppers buy my Magento products in ChatGPT?
They can find them through a product feed once the store is an approved partner, or through agentic commerce modules that hand the cart to the store's checkout.
Can shoppers check their Magento order status in ChatGPT?
Only through the store's own app with shopper sign-in. Magento's GraphQL customer query returns a signed-in customer's orders.
Does Magento's built-in OAuth work with ChatGPT?
No. It's OAuth 1.0a for merchant integrations. ChatGPT needs OAuth 2.1 with PKCE.
Does the same app work in Claude?
Yes. Claude connects to the same remote MCP server. Claude's directory returned no connectors for "Magento" on 4 November 2026.
